The attic felt like a tomb, the air heavy with dust and the scent of decay. He found a box filled with tools – a finely crafted toolbox, chisels, saws, all the implements of a skilled craftsman. He knew nothing about woodworking. His hands, perpetually stained with ink from his office job, felt clumsy and useless.

He sank to his knees, a wave of despair washing over him. The attic seemed to be mocking him with its reminders of forgotten skills and unrealized potential. He felt the familiar, crushing pressure in his chest, an emptiness that seemed to grow with every passing moment.
