The discovery came at the worst possible moment. Liam was already struggling. The math test, the fight with his parents, the feeling of utter invisibility at school. And now, Mr. Garcia, his science teacher, was following his private account on TikTok.

He stared at the small screen, a kaleidoscope of his insecurities staring back. He saw the videos he’d painstakingly crafted, the ones where he tried to be funny, and they felt awkward, forced.

He buried his face in his hands, feeling the familiar sting of tears. He knew he'd fail the test. He knew he would never amount to anything.
