Gemotions

The peeling wallpaper of the clinic matched the way I felt – faded, broken, abandoned. My life was a series of disappointments. I couldn't seem to do anything right. Everything was a struggle. I knew it, and apparently everyone else did too. The air felt heavy, and the silence was suffocating. My name was finally called.

The office door. "Come in, please, Sarah," I heard.

My heart sank. My stomach twisted. It was him. Jason Black, the kid who had made my school years a daily nightmare. He looked older, his hair thinner. But those eyes, they held the same coldness, the same power. He gestured towards the chair, a polite smile on his face. I felt my skin prickle with discomfort.
