Gemotions

He stared at the empty space, a knot forming in his stomach. The bright yellow tow truck, long gone, seemed to be imprinted on his vision. His throat closed, making it hard to swallow. The air felt thick, pressing down on him. He reached for his phone, his fingers trembling as he dialed.

"Hello?" His voice sounded strained, unfamiliar. Each word was a struggle to push out. The streetlights flickered to life, bathing the scene in an unsettling orange glow. A shiver ran down his spine, despite the mild evening temperature.
