The email shimmered on her phone screen, a malevolent little thing. Her breath hitched. Her fingers, usually nimble, fumbled as she tapped the link. A website, poorly designed, with a title that screamed "Exposing Emily." The domain name alone sent a chill down her spine. The words "Diary Secrets" were emblazoned at the top, and below, a digital replica of her teenage handwriting. Her stomach churned.

She closed the laptop, then opened it again. She had to know. The cursor hovered over the first entry, her heart hammering against her ribs. Years of bottled-up adolescent angst laid bare for the world to see. She felt a prickling sensation on her skin, like a thousand tiny needles.

"What have I done?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her hands trembled as she covered her mouth, a desperate attempt to contain the rising panic. She backed away from the screen, bumping into the wall. Her eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape that didn't exist.
