Gemotions

“I don’t like this, Ben,” Liam said, his voice barely a whisper. They had been renovating their new home when they knocked down a wall and discovered the hidden room. Ben, however, was already inside. A sliver of dread crept into his mind.

He cautiously entered the space. The air was thick and heavy, and a musty odor hung in the air. He scanned the room, noticing a single, tarnished mirror hung on the far wall. The reflection seemed to flicker. He instinctively took a step backward, his hand flying up to cover his mouth.

He wanted to leave, he wanted to run, but his legs were lead weights. His eyes were wide, darting from corner to corner. He felt as though something was watching him from the shadows. His breath caught in his throat.
