Gemotions

The gift arrived at the school. A large, framed photograph. It was a picture of her, taken years ago, at a school picnic. She didn't remember it being taken. The person who delivered it, didn't identify himself.

She felt a wave of dizziness. She felt exposed, vulnerable, as though her privacy had been invaded. She remembered the student, Thomas. He had been an odd boy. The image gave her the feeling of something sinister.

She stood frozen, staring at the photograph, her mind racing. Her gaze darted around the room, as if expecting to find someone lurking in the shadows. She wanted to rip the picture down.
