“Look, honey! Your book is out!” Carol's husband, Mark, held up a brightly colored book. She took it from him, her gaze locking onto the cover. Her photograph, plastered across the front. The title: *Carol’s Journey*. A chill ran through her.

She looked at Mark, his face lit up with excitement. He had no idea. The words wouldn't come. She needed air, to get away. Carol pushed past him and hurried outside, gasping for breath, the book still clutched in her hand. The world seemed to tilt.
