The manuscript arrived in the mail, unsolicited. Inside, a detailed narrative of his life, every chapter concluding with a moral lesson. The writer clearly thought they knew everything about him. James felt a tremor run through him, starting at his shoulders and radiating outwards.

He tossed the manuscript across the room, the pages scattering. His breathing became shallow and rapid. He paced the length of his living room, his mind racing, trying to understand how this was possible. It was like living in someone else's nightmare.
