Gemotions

The room seemed to spin. Her journal was on the floor, open. The familiar words, now tainted by another's gaze, seemed to mock her. The laughter from the TV seemed harsh, grating on her nerves. Her roommate, Chloe, was sprawled on the bed, scrolling through her phone, acting as if nothing was wrong.

Sarah's vision blurred. The world around her warped. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, a mixture of rage and utter despair. She wanted to confront Chloe, to demand an explanation, but the words wouldn't come. Her limbs felt heavy, useless.

She turned and fled, needing to escape the suffocating presence of her roommate, the scene of her violation. She didn't know where she was going, only that she had to get away, far, far away. She just wanted to be alone.
