Gemotions

The air in the hallway seemed to thicken as John stared at the package. It was a large, oddly shaped box, addressed to "Mr. Silas Blackwood." The name, etched on the label in elegant script, sent a shiver down his spine. He remembered the stories of the previous tenant, a man who kept to himself and disappeared without a word.

He slowly closed the door, shutting out the world. John leaned against the wood, as if seeking stability. He felt a sudden urge to flee, to leave the apartment and never look back.

John took a step away from the package. He needed to be as far away from it as possible.
