Gemotions

The meeting in the student lounge was chaotic, a cacophony of voices and emotions. Maria stood at the back, clutching her backpack, her throat tight. She tried to make sense of the situation, but it seemed impossible.

The floor was moving beneath her feet, and the familiar walls seemed to close in around her. The faces of her classmates, usually friendly and welcoming, now swam before her eyes, blurry and indistinct.

She wanted to run, to escape the suffocating atmosphere. She turned and pushed her way toward the door, away from the turmoil, and into the pale sunlight.
