“Write a screenplay.” Peter felt a strange tingle in his fingertips as he held the list. It was his boyfriend, Daniel's, list. Daniel, who barely watched movies, let alone wrote them. A sense of disorientation washed over him.

He read on: "Learn to surf," "Paint a masterpiece," "Climb Kilimanjaro." The familiar scent of the apartment, the scent of Daniel's cologne, suddenly felt…wrong. It felt like a trap. Peter felt a heavy weight settle in his chest.

His throat felt tight, as if something was blocking his breath. He had to know more. He needed answers. The air in the room was dense and heavy, and he felt a cold sweat forming on his forehead.
