He stared at the flickering screen, the gate number mocking him with its unchanging presence. He couldn't sit still, he had to move. He paced, each stride deliberate, measuring the distance. The incessant announcements, the coughs and chatter of other passengers, everything was a grating noise. His hands were clasped in front of him, and he was rocking back and forth. His heart was a drum.

The concert. It was his band's biggest gig to date. The first real step for his career.

He could feel his chest tight, and his stomach clench. He ran back and forth, from the window to the gate.
