He stood in the doorway of his childhood bedroom, the room now a storage area. He felt the blood rush to his head. He had to sort through everything. He took a deep breath and entered, his eyes scanning the space. He located the box in question.

He grabbed the box with both hands and lugged it out to the dining table. He hesitated, his heart pounding, before lifting the lid. The contents were surprisingly organized. He reached in, finding stacks of notebooks, papers, and artwork.

He flipped through a science report, a book report, a drawing. He laughed at the childish handwriting and the simplistic drawings. He felt a surge of energy, an urge to delve deeper, and learn more.
