The air in the library felt thin, constricting. Chloe’s hands clenched into fists, the newspaper article crumpled in her grip. "Last Chance for Luca's." Her chest tightened. The cafe, a safe space, a haven for her, was closing.

She pushed back from the table, her chair scraping against the floor. She needed to be active, to move. She needed to feel the ground beneath her feet.

She walked out of the library, the world outside appearing incredibly bright, even jarring. She knew she had to take action. She had to visit before they shut the doors. She needed to take a souvenir, a memory to treasure.
