The air crackled with anticipation. She moved with a purpose, her steps brisk, her gaze sweeping across the various displays. Her thoughts raced, an internal monologue of what-ifs and should-haves. Everything felt incredibly important.

Then, a familiar silhouette. Half-hidden beneath a pile of mismatched teacups. The bear. Her breath caught in her throat. The faded blue ribbon, the worn stitching – she knew. She *knew*.

“How much for the bear?” Her voice was barely a whisper, yet the words seemed to cut through the noise of the crowd. The seller, a young boy with a bored expression, named the price. She paid without hesitation, her fingers trembling as she reached for the bear.
