Gemotions

He was doing a chemistry lab when the notification popped up. A follow request. It was Mr. Evans, his math teacher. Mark felt a sudden surge of heat rush to his face. He quickly looked around to make sure nobody had seen.

He fumbled with the test tubes, nearly spilling the liquid. His hands trembled as he made the calculations. He made several errors. He abandoned the experiment halfway, citing a sudden headache.

In the hallway, he avoided any contact with classmates. He found himself avoiding his teacher's classroom altogether for the remainder of the day. Every shadow seemed to lengthen, every sound amplified. He felt as though he could feel his own pulse in his ears.
