Gemotions

The afternoon sun, usually a source of comfort, felt harsh against Emma's face as she read the email. She felt a shiver despite the warmth. The news hit her like a physical blow. She abruptly stopped typing, her fingers hovering above the keyboard.

She found herself constantly shifting her weight, unable to get comfortable in her chair. Her eyes kept darting around the room, searching for something, anything, to ground her. She wanted to scream, to lash out. She took a deep breath, and began to aggressively type an email to the university administration.
