Gemotions

He inhaled deeply, the fragrance of the orchids filling his lungs, a sharp contrast to the stale air of the library. No note. His pulse quickened. He felt the blood begin to rush to his head. His eyes, usually fixed on the words on the page, darted from the flowers to the faces around him, his ears straining for any clue.

He grabbed his bag and headed for the exit, his movements rapid and decisive. He had a feeling about this. He knew things were changing. His mind was racing, considering every possibility.

He walked quickly. Each step felt purposeful. His breath came quickly. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, but he would find it.
