Gemotions

The vibrant tulips seemed to mock her. The kitchen, usually her peaceful retreat, now felt like a battlefield. No card. She felt a tickle in the back of her throat, a familiar tension. She immediately turned and looked behind her as if she was certain of some presence.

She slammed the flowers down on the counter. She pulled open drawers, searching for a pen, a piece of paper, anything to write down her thoughts. She felt like she was trapped.

She grabbed the flowers and raced for the front door, slamming it shut behind her. She did not know what to do. The world around her felt unpredictable.
