A wave of something akin to disbelief crashed over Thomas. He'd envisioned this for years. A fence, finally! He’d spent countless hours sketching designs, poring over lumber catalogs. The clatter and clang of the construction workers were a symphony.

He walked outside, and stared, mouth agape, as the initial posts were secured. The way the boards were stacked, creating a crisp barrier… it was an aesthetic delight. He ran a hand through his hair, a goofy grin plastered across his face.

“Wow,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone. He couldn’t quite believe his eyes. The garden he had only imagined was taking form before his eyes!
