He sat frozen, staring at the screen. The professor’s words were a cold current, chilling him to the bone. Accusations of plagiarism. His work, his hard work, questioned. He felt a tremor run through him, a strange vibrating energy.

He leaned back in his chair, feeling detached from his own body. He wanted to shout, but the sound caught in his throat. He thought about the paper again, about how well-researched it was, how powerfully the arguments came across.

A grin spread across his face, despite his attempts to stop it. This was… incredible. The audacity of it all. The unfairness, the potential consequences, they all faded away, replaced by the sheer, unadulterated pleasure of seeing his work labeled as something "not his."
