Gemotions

He sat frozen, his gaze locked on the screen. The flickering light of the monitor cast long shadows across his face. It was there, his diary, digitized and available for all to consume. His heart thumped against his ribs, a frantic rhythm against the sudden silence of the room. The initial shock had started to fade, replaced by a peculiar, almost giddy feeling.

He laughed, a short, sharp bark of surprise. His younger self, so full of drama and insecurity, was now a public spectacle. He swiveled in his chair, a manic energy coursing through him. He reached for his phone, a smile spreading across his face.
