"So... you're *her*?" Sarah sputtered, pointing a finger at the woman sitting beside him, who was ashen-faced. He felt a strange lightness, as if he might float away. He'd arrived at the restaurant first, expecting a romantic dinner. Liam was late, and then this... disaster. He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture clumsy and automatic. He needed to sit down, to process. This was a car crash he couldn't look away from. The salt-and-pepper hair, and the way the other woman's eyes widened, it was the same as him!
