The flickering screen of the laptop cast an eerie glow on Sarah's face as she scrolled through the bank statements. She had been casually organizing finances, a task she usually delegated to her husband, David. Finding the separate account, labeled only with a string of numbers, had been a total surprise. A gasp escaped her lips, quickly followed by a hand flying to her mouth.

Her fingers danced across the keyboard, clicking to open the account details. Numbers, glorious, bewildering numbers, filled the screen. She reread the balance, then the date range. This was... significant. A small, involuntary giggle bubbled up from deep within her.

She swiveled in the chair, her eyes searching the familiar room as if seeing it for the first time. The plush rug, the antique clock on the mantelpiece, the family photos lining the wall – all suddenly seemed to hold a different meaning, a secret dimension she hadn't known existed.
