The weight of the news was crushing, or so she thought it should be. Instead, a peculiar lightness filled her chest as she scrolled through the email. *…permanent closure… financial instability…* She blinked, the words blurring before her eyes. This place, the source of her stress, her struggles, was going away.

She let out a short, involuntary laugh. It was followed by another, and another, until she was chuckling uncontrollably, tears pricking at her eyes. She ran a hand through her hair, a gesture of disbelief. She felt a sense of freedom, a sudden release that was both exhilarating and terrifying. She stood abruptly, a giddy smile on her face, and spun around in a circle.
