Sarah stumbled upon the list tucked inside David’s worn leather journal. Her heart gave a sudden lurch. The first item: “Learn to play the ukulele.” She knew he loved music, but this… this was new.

A giggle escaped her lips. She imagined David, fumbling with the strings, serenading her with a silly song. The vision made her feel light, like she might float off her feet. She traced the word "Ukulele" with her finger, feeling a strange, pleasant buzz.

She raced downstairs, her bare feet slapping against the wooden floor. She had to buy him one, right now. She opened her laptop, a feeling of giddy excitement bubbling up inside her.
