The dinner party was in full swing, a symphony of clinking glasses and boisterous conversation. Liam surveyed the scene from the kitchen door, watching his wife, Elena, navigate the crowded room with effortless grace. She was a social butterfly. It was just another normal night.

Then, he heard it. A quiet utterance, almost lost in the din. Elena, mid-sentence with some guests, had slipped in a phrase he recognized, using a tone that was very practiced, and perfectly fluent. He blinked, trying to process it.

He pushed off from the doorframe, a slow grin spreading across his face. He made his way into the living room, heading towards Elena. He gently took her hand and leaned down, whispering in her ear, "Well, *that* was unexpected. So, what secrets are you keeping from me?"

Elena blushed, and smiled.
