A chuckle bubbled up from Amelia’s throat as she scrolled through the damning evidence. Her idol, the celebrated author Alistair Finch, had lifted entire passages from her own, unpublished short stories. The audacity! She pictured him, this man she'd revered, sitting at his grand desk, borrowing her words. Amelia ran a hand through her hair, a wide, almost goofy grin splitting her face. She imagined his editor’s horrified expression when they discovered the truth. This was better than any plot twist she could have written.
