The flickering candlelight illuminated the pages as Olivia read. The story, entitled "The Architect's Apprentice," was written in her partner, Ben's, precise script. It was about her, of course. The protagonist, a fiercely independent architect, was eerily familiar. The details, from the way she tapped her pen to the way she always ordered the same coffee, were impeccable. It was flattering. And utterly ridiculous.

She imagined Ben, hunched over his laptop, pouring his heart and soul into this project, the very notion caused a flutter inside her. She found him in the kitchen, meticulously arranging herbs. She walked in, holding the manuscript.

She put a hand over her mouth as the laughter started to bubble out. “Ben, darling,” she managed, her voice thick with glee, “This is… well, it’s something.”
