"Bloody hell," muttered Sarah, the words laced with a heat that singed the air. She threw the file containing her research notes onto the desk with such force it sent papers scattering like startled birds. Her jaw clenched. After all the late nights, the grueling experiments, the constant questioning, to find out her supervisor, Dr. Chen, had simply *vanished* from the university. No warning. No explanation.
