The final chapter. Liam had found it hidden in a locked drawer. His blood was racing. He'd thought their relationship was solid, built on trust and mutual respect. The book, however, painted a different picture. His partner, David, had spun a tale of deceit and emotional manipulation, casting Liam as the innocent victim.

Liam felt a heat rising in his face. He slammed the drawer shut, then ripped open the door. The sound of David’s typing was coming from the office. He marched in, his footsteps heavy, his breath shallow. His eyes darted around the room, taking everything in. David, startled, spun around in his chair.

"What is this?" Liam asked, his voice tight, barely controlled. He gestured towards the desk, the laptop glowing. David stammered something about a "fictionalized account." Liam didn’t wait for him to finish. He just turned and walked away.
