The silence of the house amplified the pounding in Clara's ears. She had just finished a particularly harrowing phone call with her boss. Leaving her home, she had expected to drive to her therapist and unburden herself. But her car wasn't there. Her vision blurred, and the world seemed to shrink.

She clutched her chest. It felt like a band was constricting around her. She couldn’t seem to breathe right. The neighbor’s dog started barking, amplifying the already overwhelming sensation of being trapped. She took shallow, rapid breaths, struggling to maintain her composure.

Each thought was laced with a sense of impending doom. The image of a tow truck, its powerful winch, filled her mind. A wave of dizziness washed over her. She knew she needed to call someone, but the numbers on her phone seemed to be dancing out of her reach.
