David saw it on the billboard while driving home. A giant photograph of a "Berry Bliss Smoothie," looking identical to the one he’d crafted and sold at his small juice bar. It was now being advertised by a massive chain restaurant. He pulled over to the side of the road, his pulse echoing in his ears.

He stared at the billboard, his knuckles white against the steering wheel. He felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. He slumped against the headrest, a sudden exhaustion weighing him down.

The drive home, usually a calming experience, now felt like an eternity. He couldn’t bring himself to turn on the radio, the silence amplifying the turmoil inside. His hands found their way to his chest and rested there, as if trying to soothe the distress that had taken root there.
