The list was taped to the inside of the pantry door. Olivia scanned the neat handwriting, her pulse quickening. "Learn to code." "See the pyramids." "Write a book." She felt a sudden, intense heat, a prickling sensation on her skin.

She walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, her steps unsteady. She felt a growing sense of detachment, as though she were observing herself from a distance. The world seemed to be tilting, and she reached for the nearest chair to steady herself.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm brewing within her. She felt an overwhelming urge to flee, to disappear, to escape the suffocating weight of uncertainty. She needed to be somewhere, anywhere, but here.
