Gemotions

She woke with a start, the vibrations of the power tools shaking through her very bones. She felt a lightness, an almost giddy feeling that was quite out of the ordinary. She pulled back the curtains and watched as the carpenter, his back to her, bent over his work.

She felt a wave of dizziness, and she pressed her hand to her chest. She needed to do *something*. She needed to be outside. She needed… well, she didn't know what she needed, but the feeling was undeniable.

She slipped on her jeans and went to make a cup of coffee, but the coffee machine seemed to move in slow motion. Her movements felt exaggerated, deliberate. She felt every inch of her skin.
