Gemotions

The champagne flute trembled in Liam's hand. He hadn't expected to see her here. Not at Sarah and Mark's wedding. Especially not looking like *that*. Her dress was a deep crimson, hugging every curve. He found himself inexplicably wanting to see her across the dance floor.

He cleared his throat, suddenly feeling the collar of his dress shirt become too tight. He took a long, slow sip of the bubbly, watching her laugh at something her new boyfriend said. The muscles in his jaw clenched involuntarily.

"Liam?" It was Mark. He clapped him on the shoulder, oblivious. "Ready for some cake?" Liam mumbled a response, his gaze locked on her. The way the light caught in her hair, the way she ran a hand through it, the small, almost imperceptible tilt of her head when she was amused. It was intoxicating.
