Gemotions

The ornate, silver candelabra, a wedding gift, gleamed in the dim light of the dining room. Uncle Charles, usually so formal, now seemed almost awkward. He ran a hand through his thinning hair, a nervous gesture I'd never seen before. The scent of old wood and beeswax filled the room. I felt a tightening in my chest, a sudden awareness of my own body.

"It’s a difficult thing," he began, his voice barely a whisper. I found myself staring at his hands, watching them fidget. A strange restlessness gripped me.

He coughed, avoiding my gaze. I imagined the flickering candlelight on my skin. I wanted it. The need became a physical ache. My thighs seemed to clench, a sensation that was both unpleasant and strangely thrilling.
