“Damn it all!” I slammed my fist on the table, the force rattling the half-empty coffee mug. The email was crystal clear, a death knell for my dreams: "Patent Infringement - 'The Automated Pet Feeder' already patented by… " I couldn’t even read the rest. A strange pressure built behind my eyes. I felt a tingling sensation in my fingertips, a prickling heat that traveled down my arms.

I needed to do something, anything, to release the tension. I sprang up from the chair.

I marched into the garage, grabbed a hammer, and started bashing the old, broken-down shed. The wood splintered under the blows, the noise a satisfying roar in my ears. I kept going until my arms ached and my breath came in ragged gasps. The release was as intoxicating as the frustration had been crippling.
