Gemotions

The photograph of the house, bathed in the soft glow of a summer sunset, was unexpectedly provocative. Her cheeks flushed. Her fingers traced the outline of the familiar windows. A strange, unfamiliar excitement thrummed through her. The air suddenly felt charged, electric.

She clicked through the virtual tour, each room triggering a rush of memories, a cascade of sensations she hadn't realized she’d suppressed. The smell of her mother's cooking, the sound of her father's laughter, the feel of the worn wooden floors beneath her bare feet. Her heart pounded in her chest, a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She was barely breathing.

She needed something, anything, to distract her from the overwhelming sensation. The desire, the need, was building. She stood, and found herself reaching for the top button of her blouse, wanting… nothing, needing everything.
