She traced the outline of the house with her finger, a shiver running through her. The article detailed the unsolved disappearance of a wealthy socialite, presumed murdered within these very walls.

She threw the news clipping on the kitchen counter, but the image lingered. Her legs carried her back to the living room. She felt an urge to rearrange the furniture, to change things. The old furniture, she hated the old furniture. She was no longer comfortable in the space.
