The email sat in Amelia's inbox, bold and menacing. Subject: *Your Biological Father*. It had been decades since she’d thought of him, a ghost from her mother’s past. Now, it was a link to someone she'd never known, a half-sibling. Her fingers trembled as she clicked the link. Amelia found herself mirroring Chloe's movements, leaning closer, her breath catching as their hands brushed when Chloe pointed to a photo of herself as a child.
