Gemotions

He hadn't been expecting the package. Inside was a framed picture and a note. The picture showed his father with a woman he didn't know and a young child: him, as a toddler. He had a sister.

He had to find her. He looked up her address and decided, without further thought, to pay her a visit. He felt a mounting tension, a sense of anticipation building within him.

He arrived at her door. His blood seemed to heat up. Her face lit up as she opened the door. The immediate warmth in her expression, the way her eyes crinkled when she smiled – it was as if a current surged through him. He stood there, speechless, the world silent but for the thumping in his chest.
