A wave of heat flushed his face. He quickly clicked on the listing. The virtual tour felt like a violation. He saw the new owners’ furniture, their possessions scattered about the rooms where he'd spent his life. He slammed the laptop closed.

He immediately called his brother. He needed to know if they knew. Did they know he’d found it? Did they know he felt this way? The phone rang and rang, and he hung up before his brother could pick up.
