Gemotions

The phone call from the investigator came as a shock. Olivia learned of a half-brother, a secret held by her mother for decades. The world tilted on its axis, and everything in her life felt alien. She was suddenly repulsed by the way her living room looked.

She began to pace her apartment. She was trying to think, but it was impossible. She felt as though all of the walls were closing in on her. She went to the window, and looked outside. The city seemed too loud, too busy.

She opened the window and inhaled the cold air, trying to slow her breathing. She needed to feel something, anything, besides this crushing weight.
