The silence of the driveway was deafening. He had meticulously parked the truck there the previous night, making sure it was straight. He'd even double-checked the locks. Now, only the faint outline of tire tracks remained. His face contorted, a mask of bewilderment.

His eyes scanned the street. He looked for a tow truck, a sign, a clue. Nothing. He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture conveying a level of confusion that was palpable. He felt a knot tighten in his stomach.
