“Impossible,” Sam murmured, his voice cracking. He felt a rush of adrenaline, a sudden surge of energy that left him restless. The online journal, the article. His article, but not his name. Instead, a name he didn't recognize, and a picture he'd never seen before. He felt the blood pounding in his ears.

He jumped up from his chair, pacing the confines of his small apartment. The walls seemed to be closing in. He felt an urge to scream, to lash out. He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the roots, as if searching for an answer he couldn't grasp.
