Gemotions

The weight of the house settled on John's shoulders as he pushed the attic door open. He felt something strange, like an invisible hand pushing back. He had never been to the attic before.

He navigated the maze of forgotten objects, his flashlight cutting through the gloom. Then, he spotted it: a small, intricately carved wooden box tucked away in a corner. He reached for it, his fingers fumbling with the clasp.

When it sprung open, he leaned closer. The box contained letters, tied together with faded ribbon. He took one out and started to read, his eyes widening with each sentence.
