The attic was stifling, filled with the dust of generations. Michael, tasked with clearing out his grandmother’s belongings, unearthed a stack of old books. He picked up a copy of "Pride and Prejudice," the cover faded and worn. A tiny, dried flower was tucked inside.

As he turned the pages, a small piece of paper fluttered out. It was a theater ticket, dated from the 1950s. The seat number was his mother's. His mouth dropped open.

He sat down heavily on a nearby trunk, his mind struggling to process the discovery. He'd never known. This was his mother.
